The Yokogawa small metal Rotameter RAKD offers the smallest measurable flow range on the market through its lightweight and guided floating design, which distinguishes it from other similar variable area flow meters. RAKD instruments can be equipped with fine control valves and adopt a horizontal process connection design. The integrated flow controller based on the differential pressure principle can maintain a constant flow no matter how the process pressure changes. This is just one of many different options. RAKD with standard or fail-safe limit switches is suitable for safety applications up to SIL 2. The configuration with valve and controller reaches SIL 1 level
The RAKD rotameter combines several advantages of the floating principle: robust design, reliable measurement, power independence when operating as a mechanical pointer instrument, and electrical output signal. In addition, they are easy to install and require no maintenance. Both RAMC and RAKD are packaged in an attractive all-stainless steel housing and have a long service life under the harshest industrial conditions.
