GE Fanuc IC687RCM711 is a redundant communication module that provides a path for synchronization messages from the active unit to the standby unit. Then use it as a method to synchronize dual CPUs in a FIP single-rack redundant system. This also allows a path to transfer shared I/O data between the two units. The actual physical connection between the units of the FIP single-rack redundant system can include up to three feet of total interconnecting cables. Compatible CPUs include IC697CFR782 and IC697CFR28.
