The ABB TZIDC-200 Series is designed for applications requiring explosion-proof enclosures, offering the same exceptional features as the TZIDC Intelligent Positioners. These positioners provide high accuracy, flexible control functions, and simplified commissioning using auto stroke functions, making them suitable for both rotary actuators with standard Namur mounting hardware and linear control valves. Options like gauge blocks and analog/digital feedback are available.

The TZIDC-200 Series consists of three models:

  1. TZIDC-200 (V18348): Standard performance with a flameproof enclosure and 4 to 20 mA with HART communication.
  2. TZIDC-210 (V18349): Standard performance with a flameproof enclosure and PROFIBUS PA communication.
  3. TZIDC-220 (V18350): Standard performance with a flameproof enclosure and FOUNDATION Fieldbus communication.

These positioners can be configured for single and double-acting actuators, supporting fail-safe (open or close) or fail-freeze (hold last position) functions. Automatic control parameter determination streamlines setup, saving time and improving control performance.

The TZIDC-200 Series is suitable for use in hazardous areas without intrinsically safe barriers and carries FM/CSA and ATEX approvals. These positioners are built with the highest safety standards, suitable for FM/CSA Class 1, Div. 1, Group C-D (explosion-proof), and ATEX Ex II 2 G EEx d IIC T4, T5, T6, among others.
